MII TED Talk Club on 10th September: Brené Brown: The Power of Vulnerability

In a change to the advertised and normal timing for the MII TED Talk Club, we’re going to meet at 1.pm on the second Tuesday or the month, rather than the third. And we’re going to discuss a mammoth TED Talk video (65m+ views) from Brené Brown that I’m sure many of you will have already watched – The Power of Vulnerability – where Brené Brown studies human connection – our ability to empathize, belong, love. In a poignant, funny talk, she shares a deep insight from her research, one that sent her on a personal quest to know herself as well as to understand humanity.

And why have we moved the date and why have we changed the advertised video? Because our guest panellist in September is Monica Hanaway, an Accredited Mediator, and an Accredited UKCP Psychotherapist, supervisor, business coach, stress management consultant and management and leadership trainer.

She’s the author of several books on mediation and will be discussing ‘Psychologically Informed Mediation: Studies in Conflict and Resolution’ at the MII annual conference in October.
