Mediators’ Institute of Ireland (MII) Announces Appointment of its First CEO

Stiofán Nutty will commence on June 27th

 “It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Stiofán Nutty as the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland’s first Chief Executive Officer. Stiofán will start his position on 27th June 2022 and will support Council in the implementation of its vision and strategy for the MII and be responsible for the operational management of the Institute,” stated President of the MII Ber Barry-Murray, “Stiofán brings a wealth of experience to this role.  He is an MII accredited mediator, having served on Council in 2013/2014. In 2015 he was appointed as PR consultant to the MII and performed this role until 2020.  Stiofán has served as Special Advisor to several Ministers, including Minister of Land Use and Biodiversity, Pippa Hackett: Minister for Sustainable Transport, Horticulture, Planning and Heritage, Ciaran Cuffe, and Minister for Food and Horticulture, Trevor Sargent.”

“Stiofán has worked in TV broadcasting, development of programmes and lecturing in Human resources. In 2003 he became the Green Party’s first General Secretary. Achievements included a new strategic plan for the party, membership increase of 55% and a well-resourced and more professional administration”, said President Barry-Murray. “He has provided consultancy to general business and delivered industry reports for DAFM, Bord Bia and Teagasc. Stiofán was appointed to the Fingal LEO Business Mentor Panel in 2013. In 2015, he was appointed as Coordinator of the Horticulture Industry Forum. Over the past 10 years Stiofán has facilitated 16 international conferences in Brussels, Ireland, and the UK. On behalf of members, Council and myself, I look forward to working with Stiofán in his new role.”
