It is important to choose a mediator according to your needs and the type of dispute, who is properly trained and accredited. This search facility will assist you to search based on area of speciality and geographical location or you can use the Advanced Search to search for a mediator by name.
A search based on County will show all mediators who are available to mediate in that county. To find a local mediator you should sort the search results by Location A-W and scroll down to see the results for a particular county only.

You can telephone or e mail the mediator and ask them for details of their service including their fees and availability.  MII mediators are the best trained and most skilled in the country and have been assessed as competent to carry out mediations. They are obliged to adhere to the MII’s Code of Ethics and Practice, engage in continuing professional education (CPD) and hold professional indemnity insurance. MII accredited mediators are issued with an Annual Practising Certificate to demonstrate their current accredited status and you may ask to see that certificate

The search results will show both Members and Advanced Members. Both are qualified and accredited. Advanced Members have completed an additional assessment to prove their experience of at least 100 hours of practice and their expert mediation skills. Trainee Affilates and those Members or Advanced Members who are not available to mediate have their profiles shown but grayed out.
