Margaret Bouchier, Director of Advanced Working Solutions Limited, is a leading Irish mediator, facilitator, trainer and investigator. Since 2004, Margaret has mediated complex and sensitive disputes, nationally and internationally, to support organisations, businesses, individuals and families to constructively manage their issues.
The majority of Margaret's cases are from referrals and recommendations, and to the best of her knowledge no mediated agreement that she has helped parties to reach has been set aside, either by the parties themselves or by a third party.
In addition to her casework, Margaret has broad experience in policy development for Irish and international organisations in areas including: safeguarding vulnerable adults; professional practice standards; confidentiality; dignity at work; and ethics in practice. Margaret's clients include public sector and semi-state bodies, private sector organisations – financial services; information technology; service industries; construction; agriculture – small businesses, voluntary organisations and families.
Margaret has contributed to the development of standards in mediation through her roles in The Mediators Institute of Ireland, the Elder Mediation International Network (EMIN) and the Kennedy Institute Workplace Mediation Research Group. In May 2016, Margaret was awarded the EMIN Leadership Award for her contribution to the development of ethics in Elder Mediation.
