I am delighted to inform our members that we have appointed a new CEO, Sue Cogan. Sue joined us on Monday the 2nd of September 2024.

Sue is a senior NGO executive with experience in strategy, leadership, quality assurance, operations, people management, and innovation. She has a Higher Diploma in Conflict, Dispute, Resolution Studies from Trinity College Dublin and an Executive MBA from Trinity College Dublin. Sue has worked in various roles at the Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) from 2013 to 2021, including Head of Service Nationwide and Area Manager for the Assisted Living Service. Currently, she is working as a consultant for Community Sector Support (CSS) and is a trustee for the Irish Online Giving Foundation.

Sue has a range of competencies including charity, trustee, board member, healthcare, and disability. She has a strong educational background with multiple degrees and professional qualifications. She also has experience in developing digital products and utilising technology for innovative solutions. She has experience in securing funding for social enterprise projects, working with donor funds and managing budgets for marketing activities.

Over the next few months, I look forward to you meeting with Sue, including at our conference in Belfast in October.
