What is an MII Accredited Training Course?
In order to be approved by the MII a training programme has been assessed against specific criteria based on the competencies required for membership.
All MII Trainers must comply with the MII Quality Control Framework and deliver Prescribed Learning Outcomes set by the MII.
Trainers on MII courses have a minimum of three years’ practical mediation experience, a qualification in training (minimum Level 6 on the NFQ) and a current practising MII certificate.
An MII accredited training course is at least 60 hours duration, of which 20 hours may be reading/research etc.
Successful completion of an accredited course along with passing the MII Skills Assessment is the requirement to apply for MII Membership.
The listed training programmes have been approved by the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland (The MII). The MII is not responsible for the administration or delivery of these programmes.
To become a member of the MII, participants must register directly with the MII within 1 year of the date of the assessment result.
Any person who is on an MII approved training programme is entitled to apply for Trainee Affiliation of the MII for the year of their training and the following calendar year.
Please note:Â Certificates of successful completion of Certified Level Mediation Programmes are valid for 1 year from the date of the Assessment result. If the certificate expires applicants must re-sit and pass the skills assessment in order to apply for Membership.
